First Time=HUF 34 700
If you give plasma for the first time for a serological test, along with the submitted questionnaire, we will reward you with HUF 34 700.*

Up to the 5th occasion: HUF 143 500 in benefits
If your eligibility assessment is successful, you will receive HUF 34,700 on the 1st, 2nd and 5th occasions, HUF 21,700 on the 3rd occasion, and HUF 17,700 after the 4th occasion, provided that you participate in our needs assessment and satisfaction survey — in other words, you complete the questionnaire in Hungarian.*

HUF 21 700 after every 3rd donation and HUF 24,700 after every 6rd donation
After each subsequent occasion, you will receive a benefit of HUF 17,700. After every 3rd donation, you will receive a benefit of HUF 21,700, consisting of HUF 9,200 in cash and a REWIN voucher worth HUF 12,500. In addition, after every 6th occasion, CSL CLUB members receive an extra HUF 3,000 benefit.*

Donating blood plasma is
safe and painless process.
When people hear about plasma donation, many think of some strange procedure, but it is far from that.
The process itself is very similar to blood donation. We take blood from your vein, but instead of the whole blood, we filter out only the yellow component, the plasma, and return the other part, the red blood cells, to your body.
Before you get worried: it is a safe and sterile process, and during the plasma extraction, you will feel nothing, and during the return of the red blood cells, you will only feel a slight tingling sensation.
How you can become a plasma donor?
1. Check if you can be a donor!
You must meet the following criteria:
1. You must be between 18 and 59 years old.
2. Your BMI must be between 18.5 and 40, which can be determined from your weight and height. You can calculate it here.
3. You must not be pregnant, at least 6 months must have passed since childbirth, and you must no longer be breastfeeding.
4. You must wait 4 months after getting a tattoo or piercing.
5. You must have a social security number, either Hungarian or EU.
6. If you have been in contact with someone who belongs to a high-risk group for blood-borne infections (HIV, Hepatitis B and C, etc.) such as intravenous drug users or sex workers, you cannot be a donor.
7. Diabetes, infectious hepatitis, or organ/tissue transplantation are also disqualifying factors.
8. If you have any chronic illnesses (e.g., heart disease, lung disease, autoimmune disease, severe asthma, etc.), you cannot be a donor.
9. English language proficiency is mandatory.
2. Come prepared, as you might be able to donate plasma.
There is an opportunity to donate plasma on the first occasion.
This is possible if the doctor authorizes it for you, and you arrive prepared:
drink 1 litre of water for a morning plasma donation, or 2 litres for an afternoon plasma donation.
Additionally, do not come on an empty stomach; eat something light 1.5 hours beforehand.

What will happen
during the first examination?
When you enter the centre's door…
We will welcome you with a big smile, as we are always happy to see new plasma donors.
But of course, it doesn’t stop there.

First, we measure your body temperature, then check your weight and calculate your BMI index. Afterwards, you will be seated in a booth where you will thoroughly learn about the plasma donation process, the rules to follow, and fill out a short health test (this is for the doctor). All of this is done on a tablet, comfortably and quickly.

Once you are done with these, we measure your blood pressure and haemoglobin level, then take a photo of you for your personal donor card.

Then, behind closed doors, you will sit with the centre’s doctor, who will discreetly discuss your medical history, check your test results, and perform a comprehensive exam.

If the doctor at the centre finds no issues, we will collect a blood sample to check if your values are within the normal range and if you are eligible for plasma donation. This will determine if you can be a donor. The results will be available in 5-7 days, and you can inquire about them via our free hotline.

You already have the opportunity to donate plasma on your first visit. For this, you need to arrive prepared, and the doctor must also authorize it for you.

What does it mean to arrive prepared?
For a morning plasma donation, drink 1 litre of water, and for an afternoon plasma donation, drink 2 litres.
Additionally, do not come on an empty stomach; eat something light 1.5 hours beforehand.

What is made from your plasma here?
CSL Behring proudly serves the community of patients with von Willebrand disease, haemophilia, primary immunodeficiency, hereditary angioedema, fibrinogen deficiency, alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, and other rare diseases. We also produce biological therapies to prevent haemolytic disease of the newborn, and to prevent or stop bleeding in emergency situations or planned surgeries.
At CSL, at the time of the first successful serological test confirming eligibility for plasma donation — if the test was performed from the donated plasma — and after submitting the questionnaires following your second and fifth donations, we provide shopping vouchers worth HUF 25,500 instead of the originally announced vouchers worth HUF 8,500.
For each additional questionnaire submitted after further donations, CSL provides a shopping voucher worth HUF 8,500, and after every 3rd occasion, a shopping voucher worth HUF 12,500.
You may donate plasma up to 45 times per year. Adding all of this together, you may calculate with benefits worth up to HUF 940,500 per year, if you also join our CSL CLUB program.
